I am thankful for the journey I am on. Thirty three years. Years of pieces of the puzzle. One lady told me our lives are a puzzle while we are waiting for the masterpiece. Every time we accomplished something or a new door opens, a puzzle piece is being placed on our unfinished puzzle.
First of all, we live in a noisy world with chaos. We continuously are trying to keep up, slow down or pace faster to get through the chapters in our lives. Second of all, I feel we are forgetting to be thankful along the way. I admit I forget to do so! I say my thanks and what I am thankful for when I go to sleep every night. We aren’t perfect. We forget when life throws us curveballs or constantly trying to get through the day at our jobs, parenting and our personal lives. Finally, my parents gave me my birthday present to fly to Nashville to attend Christy Wright’s Business Boutique with my mother! Wow! I’m thankful for my parents to believe in me and my new business. Meanwhile, 5 days of short whirlwind of lessons and time with my mother, my biggest fan! We had a variety of amazing speakers that I will share throughout blogging. Rory Feek was my favorite. I was star struck as I sat in front row and he was amazing. Very humbling. In case, you don’t know who Rory is- look at his blog www.thisisthelifeilive.com, a personal journey in music industry, his love for his wife who passed away last year, and raising his beautiful daughter. Throughout raising their daughter, being there for his wife whose wings were being made to fly to heaven, taking care of their farm, with everything going on- everyday he had to choose JOY. No matter what, things won’t be done right away but it will be done eventually. No matter how crazy his life was on daily basis, he truly managed to choose Joy. Yesterday, I chose joy. My daughter. My family. My community. My job. My dog Gucci. Today, I chose joy. My father’s birthday. My mother, brother, daughter, dog Gucci and I celebrated with him. I am thankful for my village, my family. Tomorrow, I will choose joy. Thursdays will be my thankful Thursdays with personal stories and tips. Happy Thursday! May you all feel the gratitude in your soul and choose joy today!
